Āhurutanga is a weekly support circle for wāhine with lived experience of family
harm or abuse. A space grounded in warmth, connection, and emotional safety.
This is not a therapy group. It’s a peer-led space for connection, empowerment,
and hope. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or you’ve walked this path
for years, you are welcome.
Each week we gather in a supportive circle, guided by mindfulness, movement,
breathwork, and kōrero. Sometimes we share stories, sometimes we sit in
silence. Always, we hold space with kindness and respect. This is a confidential
space. What’s shared in the circle stays in the circle unless there’s a risk of serious harm.
Every Tuesday 7 pm @ The Bridge Hub New Brighton
Starting 9th of September
Koha welcome to support venue and refreshments but not expected. Open to wāhine (18+) who
have experienced family harm or abuse. Walk-ins are welcome just show up.
If you’re feeling unsure or nervous, you’re welcome to email first or bring a support person to your
first visit.
